Here's what you can expect as a Program Coordinator at our school:
As a Program Coordinator, you will play a vital role in the daily operations and program development of our daycare center. You will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the implementation of our educational programs, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for all children and families.
Required Shift: Monday – Friday Part Time hours flexible on schedule
Compensation: $16 an hour
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Implementation:
Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that meet the needs of children in our care.
- Program Planning:
Plan and execute engaging activities, events, and programs that promote learning, creativity, and social-emotional development.
- Staff Support:
Provide support and guidance to teachers and staff, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality care and instruction.
- Communication:
Maintain open and effective communication with parents, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Observation & Assessment:
Observe children's development and progress, and document observations and assessments as needed.
- Safety & Compliance:
Ensure that the daycare center is a safe and compliant environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
- Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, activities, and progress. Record keeping such immunization documentation, knowledge of GA Pre-K requirements, knowledge of CAPS.
- Parent Engagement:
Actively engage with parents to foster a strong sense of community and partnership.
- Supervision:
Supervise and train staff, including substitute staff.
- Hiring and Orientation:
Oversee the orientation process for all new staff, ensuring they meet all policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education Required CDA, or (e.g., Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Relevant Experience (e.g., 1-2 years of experience in a childcare setting)
- Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to supervise and train staff.
