Work collaboratively with the quality control inspector and drafting/quality manager to handle any engineering and quality control needs of the organization.

This includes creating engineering drawings, reverse engineering of sample parts, quality inspection of incoming material, light mechanical assembly and other projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Ø Create 3d models and 2d production ready drawings in Solidworks CAD

Ø Clear and concise communication

Ø Reverse engineer sample parts

Ø Operate equipment such as Laser Scanner, CMM , Hardness Tester, training provided

Ø Perform quality control inspection of incoming material

Ø Perform analysis of quality concerns and generate reports

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Ø Excellent communication skills

Ø Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology (or similar) AND 2 years of experience in a related role OR 3-5 years of industry experience.

Ø Strong cooperation and collaboration with coworkers in various roles

Ø Able to follow directions , perform assigned tasks and work independently

Ø Drivers license required

Ø Ability to travel as necessary to customer facilities within the U.S. ( very low frequency )

Ø Able to frequently move and manipulate parts ≤ 50 lbs

Ø Able to sit or stand as required to complete tasks

Ø Strong Mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills

Ø Able to understand and interpret engineering drawings and schematics

Ø Basic understanding of industrial processes and manufacturing techniques (Casting, fabrication, machining, forging, etc.)

Ø Proficient in Solidworks ( or, Inventor, ProE, Etc.) with 3d modeling and 2d drawing

Ø Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office, etc.

Desired qualifications:

Ø Skilled mechanically, able to take something apart and put it back together

Ø Forklift experience a plus

Ø Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems

Ø Experience with 3D modeling complex shapes
