The CT Technologist provides completed images by performing a variety of complex imaging procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.

Responsibilities

The CT Technologist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Effectively performs imaging procedures independently

* Accurately performs veni-puncture, injects contrast using the pressure injector, and sends images through the Internet for interpretation

* Appropriately assists the radiologist during fluoroscopic and other special procedures requiring sterile technique

* Effectively performs procedures in Surgery, ER, ICU and other nursing units using portable equipment

* Practices radiation safety techniques and marks and labels films correctly

The CT Technologist reports to the Manager Diagnostic Imaging.

Qualifications

* ARRT registration

* Graduation from an accredited program for Radiologic Technology as Registry Eligible and ARRT registered within 18 months

* Must be able to communicate effectively in English
