Phoenix, AZ company is seeking a Senior Product Engineer - DFW or PHX to join their team for a contract opportunity.

Responsible for leveraging cutting edge technology to solve business problems by participating in all phases of the development process from inception through transition, advocating the agile process and test-driven development, using object-oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct and test reusable objects, and making the codebase better.

Contract Duration: 8 Months

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
  • 5 years of application development experience.
  • 5 years of SQL Development.
  • 5 years of experience defining user requirements.
  • 5 years of .Net (C#) Programming experience.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of .Net (C#) Programming experience.
  • 7+ years of SQL Development.
  • 7+ years of application support experience.
  • 2+ years of Apache Spark and/or Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory.
  • 2+ years of Infrastructure as Code, Terraform experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the following:
  • .NET, XML, HTML, JavaScript, VB.
  • Angular Frontend framework.
  • Web Services, such as REST/SOAP, JSON/WSDL/XML.
  • Visual Studio.
  • Postgres and SQL Server.
  • Object Oriented Analysis, Design Patterns, and Frameworks.
  • Experience with DevOps Toolchain methodologies, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment.
  • Experience with Agile project management methodology.
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.
  • Possess a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions and/or workarounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).
  • Experience supporting 24/7 critical applications.
  • Support production critical issues occasionally (5% to 10%) during non-standard business hours.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders and team members, both technical and non-technical, to understand requirements and develop solutions according to business requirements.
  • Design and implement user interactions on web pages.
  • Design and implement cloud-based back-end services and APIs.
  • Ensure responsiveness and maintain the security of applications.
  • Integrate UI code with backend services through API.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
  • Improve the delivery process to optimize delivery of value, frequency, and quality of deployments while improving product quality by implementing CI/CD best practices.
  • Develop scalable and re-usable frameworks for data set ingestion, including event based / stream processing using Azure Data Factory.
  • Implement best practices for end-to-end data pipelines (source systems to target data repositories) ensuring the quality and consistency of data is always maintained.
  • Implement and debug Infrastructure as Code, including associated storage and network resources, using technologies such as Terraform, Azure DevOps, and/or GitHub Actions.
