Position Summary

We are currently seeking a seasoned, professional, and energetic Print Production Manager to join our growing team and act as the primary leader, running our entire Printing/Bindery Production Department. The Production Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and management of the entire print production process (from approval to print, to final product for customer receipt). The ideal candidate must possess a can do attitude and be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Experience and Skills

- 8+ years of Printing Production and/or Bindery Management responsibilities, working with internal and external customers, with an understanding or capability including previous Printing experience and familiarity with a variety of printing/bindery/mailing equipment.

- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office (i.e. PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) and good mathematical skills.

-Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance & thorough knowledge of equipment problem solving.

-Ability to physically move freely throughout the building to gather information, materials, and authorizations.

-Driver's license w/good driving record; ability to drive and load/unload delivery vehicles.

- Professional appearance, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of urgency to get things done. Be both honest and punctual.

- Strong attention to detail and experience in managing multiple projects and deadlines for orders in a quality manner; with ability to prioritize work for the team.

- Ability to maintain a pleasant, out-going demeanor, and work in a team environment; to include an openness to train others and embrace learning new concepts for themselves.

- Must be a team player willing to work with others to accomplish the jobs successfully.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

- Production schedules: Ensuring the team meets production schedules 

- Quality control: Managing printers to ensure high quality production 

- Vendor work: Working with vendors to ensure optimal production solutions, timing, and delivery 

- Budgeting: Working with ownership on budgeting, forecasting, for production needs (paper, supplies, etc.) and equipment maintenance and repairs 

- Final approval: Receiving final approval from account managers and giving final approval of print jobs before they start production 

- Communication: Communicating skills, amongst their team, with account managers, other departments, customers, vendors, and leadership

- Attention to detail: Paying attention to detail and quality control of all printed materials/products/deliverables

- Prioritizing: Prioritizing printing jobs and managing teammate skills effectively

- Teamwork: Developing teamwork among team members, skillsets, and departments

- Leadership: Providing leadership for the production department, amongst account managers, and with Owners 

- Technical improvements: Promoting continuous technical improvements, optimizing workflows and efficiencies, mindfulness to safety and procedures

- Metrics: Achieving agreed-upon metrics

 - Mailing Operations - Familiarity with mailing operations to provide oversight and guidance as to coordinate/prioritize mailing schedule/work according to production needs.

- Ensure that all finished products are acceptable quality and produced according to schedule.

In addition to Print Production Management, will include Management of Bindery processes and operations, to include coordinating (as required for any given order):

- All finishing services for press and copier projects in compliance with job specifications and company quality standards by operating folders, cutters, drills, shrink wrapper, UV coater, and all miscellaneous equipment according to specifications to produce customized jobs.

- Orde, receive, and check in all paper orders, freight deliveries, vendor deliveries, UPS & FEDEX deliveries. Ensure periodic inventory and accountability of all production supplies.

- Assign daily delivery routes for drivers, and periodically deliver jobs to customers and make miscellaneous pick-ups; as needed.

Working/Environmental Requirements

- Must be able to tolerate loud print production noises and printing materials.

- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

- Must have reliable transportation.

- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Compensation

We offer competitive base salaries, incentives, and benefits package (to include 401K matching).

This is a full-time job; with typical work week being Monday through Friday. Hours of operation are from 8am to 5pm.

This is an in-person position, hybrid and remote employment is not an option.

Work attire is business casual (Allegra polos/shirts to be provided to employees).

Salary: $50-60,000 (annual, dependent on qualified applicant skillset) plus benefits.
