JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Courier Supervisor is responsible for overseeing pickups and deliveries, ensuring effective communication with various locations affiliated with Solaris Health. This role involves managing a courier team, providing hands-on support for deliveries, and maintaining fleet vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. The supervisor will ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries while leading the team to meet the organization's logistical needs.

- Supervise and manage the courier team, ensuring efficient operations and effective delivery services.
- ? Oversee and coordinate ongoing education and essential on-the-job training for the courier team.
- ? Responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and coordinating repair services for courier vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition. ?
- Pickup and delivery of various items, which may include lab specimens, deposits, medications, mail, and miscellaneous office supplies and equipment, to various locations affiliated with Solaris Health. ?
- Responds to inquiries about pick up and delivery schedules. ? Communicates with office managers at all locations regarding any changes to delivery schedules or other issues. ? Loads all necessary supplies needed for the daily pickups. ?
- Completes daily pick up schedule in a timely manner. ? Delivers all daily picks (mail and packages) to your branch at the end of your shift. ?
- Safely operates company vehicle and obeys all traffic laws. ?
- Utilizes handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups. ?
- Works directly with dispatcher for additional pickups as needed. ?
- Evaluates traffic patterns, alternative routes and weather conditions as needed. ?
- Maintain Travel Logs. ? Performs other position related duties as assigned. ?
- Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.
- CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS ? Must have a Valid State Driver's License and clean driving record.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. ?
- Strong problem-solving skills. ?
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance. ?
- Customer-oriented with ability to remain calm in difficult situations. ?
- Complies with all health and safety policies of the organization. ?
- Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. ?
- Ability to walk (20%+ ) and sit (30%+) for extended periods.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 21 years' old.
- ? Must maintain a valid vehicle insurance policy. ?
- 3+ years of previous driver/courier experience is required
- Travel between facilities in required state.
