Lead Project Engineer

This role was mainly established for the purpose of supporting the needs of the Project Engineering Team. In general, the Lead Project Engineer has overall control of project engineering, documentation, and analysis for both onshore and offshore activities. The successful candidate will be in charge of coordinating a team of engineers, communicating with clients, and collaborating with cross-functional departments to ensure successful project completion. Responsibilities Taking over the awarded projects from proposals team, review agreed contract, employers’ requirements and tender documentation to ensure project delivery; Develop the documentation for the preparatory phase of the project; Monitor project schedules and track project progress to meet deadlines; Develop method statements and/or procedures for our works regarding offshore projects; Coordinate internal and external resources for timely project deliverables; Coordinate with all Offshore & Project Engineers for the submission of “as-built” documentation in timely manner as per project’s requirements; Review detailed engineering reports, procedures, manuals and method statements and ensure compliance with end-client’s requirements; Liaise with internal departments and external parties (i.e., subcontractors) for the preparation of documentation; Close liaison with other internal departments to ensure required information for the execution of the project is exchanged (i.e marine department); Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are managed; Occasionally travelling to meet and attend client meetings; Project monitoring on board the vessel when needed; When on site, optimize and implement the method statements in practice and taking the lead when necessary; Taking care of ad hoc needs of the project and actively respond to questions from the project management; Review and coordinate deliverables from the engineering department; Ensure project is implemented in accordance with the plan; Develop and present engineering solutions to clients; Provide support and advice to the Project Manager and Offshore Team Manager with regards to project engineering issues and resources during all phases of the project. Present flexibility in problem solving during the construction phase according to the actual site conditions Requirements A higher university degree in Engineering; 3-5 years experience in project engineering or as a lead engineer; Experience in Offshore Wind Farms Industry will be a plus Strong understanding of engineering processes; Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; Clear and effective oral and written communication skills in English language; Additional working knowledge of other foreign languages, (e.g. Italian, German, French etc.) are not prerequisite but are to be considered as extra skills; Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; Experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders; Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently; Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project Scheduling (e.g. Primavera, MS Project), GIS software (e.g. Global Mapper) and CAD software required.
