POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator who provides clinical expertise, education, consultation, leadership, and research that enhances patient care, supports staff development, and meets organizational goals. You will work closely with our team to ensure compliance with regulations and to refine practices that are relevant to the needs of our community.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: You must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and hold a current Registered Nurse license. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required, with a Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Basic certifications in Education or Critical Care Nursing are also preferred.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five years of progressive experience in clinical practice, nursing education, or nursing management in an acute care setting is essential.

  • Ability to maintain clinical competency in your area of assignment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list is not exhaustive and may change over time.)

  • Provide educational leadership for nursing staff to enhance specialized patient care, particularly in Intensive Care and Step Down Units.
  • Assess the quality of care for specific patient populations and foster an environment of nursing excellence.
  • Coordinate staff orientation, tailor programs to individual needs, and monitor progress collaboratively.
  • Plan and implement annual competencies and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Utilize advanced clinical knowledge to identify and address patient care challenges.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and refine standards of care and procedures.
  • Act as a resource for nursing staff and other healthcare professionals through formal and informal teaching.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to professional development for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Analyze research findings and apply them to enhance clinical practices.
  • Foster teamwork and integrative solutions across the healthcare spectrum.
  • Champion evidence-based practices in clinical procedures, policies, and materials.
  • Serve as a role model, demonstrating the integration of theory and practice in everyday settings.
