The Role:
Respite Providers are critical to giving families and caregivers a much-needed break while providing clients opportunities to engage in new/different activities with other people.
This is not a standard full or part time job as your hours will vary. Which days and hours will vary with each individual family's needs. We're looking for someone that can be a positive impact no matter the schedule, whether it be 5 hours a week or 15.

About Our Clients:

9-year-old in the Rochester area: Seeking a provider over the summer for weekday support at summer camp. The hours will consist of Monday-Friday from 7:30am-5:30pm. Duties will include verbal prompts/support with some daily living tasks and providing supervision to ensure safety. A provider will assist this individual at summer camp. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle is required for this position. This position pays $15.00/hr.

7 year-old child in the Rochester area: Seeking a provider for weekday support during the afternoon/evenings and occasional weekends in the morning/afternoon . Duties will include verbal prompts/support with daily living tasks, such as eating and drinking. This individual enjoys playing outside, going for walks and playing with her favorite toys. 10-12hours per week.

19 year-old in Dover area: seeking part-time job coach, who loves music and unified sports, and has a diagnosis of Down syndrome. Support position involves supervising and motivating her to stay focused and satisfactorily complete assigned tasks. Job is currently two days a week, but may increase to three, for two hours/day with the housekeeping team at River Woods Durham retirement community. Days of the week can be fairly flexible. Ideal candidate will have valid license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record. Willing to consider someone who can make public transportation or other options work, but would need to discuss logistics with family. Position pays $20/hour and starts early September.

What we're looking for:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Ability to utilize technology provided to perform requirements of the job

• Hold a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle liability coverage.
