Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence Developer with a strong background in ETL processes, data integration, and data warehousing to join our team. This role will involve designing, developing, and implementing data warehousing solutions, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery, and meeting business requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with IBM InfoSphere, AWS, Hadoop, and a variety of data management tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Implementation:

Lead the analysis, design, development, and implementation of data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives.

Ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business requirements, within scope and deadlines.

Oversee the end-to-end development process of data warehousing solutions from inception to implementation.

ETL Process Development:

Develop ETL processes using IBM InfoSphere DataStage 9.1 and 11.5, including Server and Parallel Extender (DataStage 7.1 to 11.5, Fast Track, Quality Stage).

Write and optimize Oracle SQL, Dynamic SQL, PLSQL, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Indexes, Partitions, Collections, Cursors, Materialized Views, and Unix Shell Scripts.

Data Integration & Modeling:

Involve in data models using IBM InfoSphere Data Architect and enforce data modeling standards and best practices.

Implement logic for Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) using Date methodology.

Big Data Technologies & Cloud:

Apply knowledge of AWS and Hadoop ecosystem tools such as Hive, Flume, Pig, Sqoop, HBase, Spark, and Hue for data integration and processing.

Utilize Talend Open Studio and Big Data Studio for big data solutions.

Production Incident Management:

Manage production incidents, identifying root causes and providing quick fixes to maintain system stability and efficiency.

Methodology Expertise:

Work with Ralph Kimball and Bill Inmon methodologies for Data Warehousing.

Leverage expertise in Banking Data Warehouse (BDW) logical and physical data models to optimize data solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, and ETL development.
  • Extensive experience working with IBM InfoSphere DataStage (versions 7.1 to 11.5), AWS, and Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hive, Flume, Pig, Sqoop, HBase, Spark, Hue).
  • Proven expertise in developing Oracle SQL, PLSQL, Stored Procedures, Unix Shell Scripts, and Data Modeling.
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing methodologies (Ralph Kimball, Bill Inmon).
  • Expertise in data integration and merging data across multiple systems.
  • Experience in managing production incidents and ensuring system reliability.
Technologies:
  • Proficient in AWS, IBM InfoSphere, Talend, Big Data Studio, and other data integration tools.
  • Deep understanding of Big Data technologies and cloud platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:

Industry Experience:
  • Experience with Banking Data Warehouses (BDW), including logical and physical data models.
  • Familiarity with Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) and Date methodology.
Additional Skills:
  • Training or certification in Talend Open Studio and Big Data Studio skills.
  • Experience with advanced data modeling techniques using IBM InfoSphere Data Architect.


Certifications:

Certifications in IBM InfoSphere, AWS, or Talend are preferred, but not required.
