Job Description: The Specialist, Systems Engineer position is part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communications platforms . Essential Functions: Understand physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements Design and develop physical and logical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains Designs and maintains networks (both LAN & WAN) connecting airborne and ground systems via terrestrial and BLOS (Beyond Line of Sight) circuits Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements Write effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements Write system level requirements Perform requirement traceability Perform other duties as assigned Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of related experience OR Master’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience OR in lieu of a degree a minimum of 8 years of related experience Understand physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains Understand test, integration, verification, and validation planning Be able to write effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements Understand requirement traceability Be able to prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to non-technical professionals Preferred Additional Skills: Understand physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements Design and develop physical and logical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains Designs and maintains networks (both LAN & WAN) connecting airborne and ground systems via terrestrial and BLOS (Beyond Line of Sight) circuits Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements Write effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements Write system level requirements Perform requirement traceability Perform other duties as assigned Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
