Job Description
Superlanet is currently recruiting for a Network Engineer II to support a healthcare organization in Coachella Valley, CA. This is a direct hire opportunity. The Network Engineer will be responsible for providing advanced support for the hospital's wired and wireless network environments, edge networks, firewalls, which includes network equipment and users of the systems. Supports an advanced network design solution and endpoint configurations. Works with Telecom, Systems, Desktop and others to provide advanced network support and maintenance. Provides advice to Director about network condition, functions, and use.

Requirements

Education:

Required: Associates degree or 2 years equivalent work experience.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar

Certification:

Required: Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or equivalent networking certification, or Palo Alto Firewall Administration

Preferred: CCNP or equivalent

Experience:

Required: 4 years' experience supporting enterprise grade networks as a network engineer.

-6 years required if no associates degree, including advanced firewall support and configurations.

Specific Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:
• Interact with various staff, including front line staff, management and administration in a multi-tasking, deadline oriented, customer-service team environment
• In depth technical skills for Cisco networking equipment including CLI, Prime, Location tracking, Wi-Fi controllers, Wi-Fi access points, Cisco IOS - multiple versions, EIGRP,
• Layer 1 Networking skills and knowledge
• Telepresence or Voice experience is helpful
• Advanced networking troubleshooting
• Understanding and ability to use and troubleshoot SIP, H.323, SCCP and MGCP protocols
• Works in a self-directed manner recognizing urgent and important matters
• Understanding and ability to use and troubleshoot IP related issues using wireshark or other traffic capture tools.
• Data Center and core networking advanced skills
