Job Description
Scope
- Responsible for supporting quality assurance, quality system, and quality control activities throughout the organization, through the development and implementation of methods and procedures for testing and inspecting the quality level of products.
- Reviews manufacturing documentation to ensure it contains the necessary criteria and provisions to permit effective materials inspection and testing. Initiates corrective actions for procedural, product or process deficiencies.
- Participates in activities on structured problem solving teams to proactively promote and contribute to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Under limited supervision, performs moderately complex tasks to develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements for processing components and other materials into finished goods and products.
- Designs and implements methods and procedures for testing and inspecting the quality level of products and equipment.
- Reviews supporting manufacturing documentation to ensure it contains necessary provisions to permit effective material inspection and testing.
- Participate in failure analysis activities, initiate Corrective Actions when appropriate, and ensure customer requirements are adequately addressed.
- Works directly with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
- Recommends corrective actions for procedural, product, or process deficiencies. Assist with root cause analysis efforts, determine corrective actions and facilitate implementation.
- Participate in customer surveys, audits and source inspections.
- Support prototype and Engineering Method qualification activities to ensure it meets customer requirements and specifications.
- Interface with supplier quality representatives concerning problems with quality and assure that effective corrective action is implemented. Actively support supplier corrective action activities through site visits.
- Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures.
- Provide training to the rest of the organization on the quality system, quality tools (pareto charts, SPC, structured problem solving, etc.) and related topics.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent problem solving ability.
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control.
- Diverse knowledge of inspection control methods, techniques and documentation.
- Competence in performing root cause analysis
- In depth knowledge of quality systems, policies and procedures and the ability to apply that knowledge to the interpretation of customer requirements.
- Experience in ISO9000
- Must be able to multitask
- IPC knowledge preferred
- A strong work ethic and commitment to excellence and professionalism are absolutely essential and expected.
Education:
- Candidates for this position should have Bachelor of Science Degree, a two-year technical degree in a field relevant to this position, or a strong background in the PCB manufacturing industry.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with IPC and MIL standards.
- Experience in the printed circuit board industry strongly preferred.
- ASQ Quality Engineer/Manager preferred.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or higher is a plus.

Benefits are available 1st of the month following date of hire.
Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
