  • Lead and manage the nursing staff within the surgical services department, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care within the surgical unit.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the surgical services department, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards for surgical services.
  • Provide leadership and support during surgical procedures and emergencies.
Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in surgical care, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required. Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) is preferred.
