As a Millwright Mechanic, you will be a member of our highly skilled maintenance team. You will play an integral role in ensuring our machines and equipment are properly and safely functioning in a safe, fast paced environment while adhering to all food, safety, and quality policies. This position is a night shift [8p-8am] on a 48/36hr weekly rotating schedule but will train on day shift.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines
  • Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
  • Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
  • Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
  • Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
  • Repairs broken machines safely, quickly, and efficiently.
  • Prepares work order reports documenting work performed and parts used.
  • Machine maintenance, mechanical, pneumatic and some electrical operations.
  • Assist in development and improvement projects for all machines and support equipment
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills.
  • Skills in preventive maintenance and mechanical repair.
  • Some electrical ability or willingness to learn, such as safely troubleshooting with use of a multi-meter, re-setting breakers, changing fuses, and replacing electrical components as needed.
  • Works well independently and with others.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail
Education and Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years mechanical experience required
  • Electrical and PLC experience preferred
  • Skills in maintenance and repair, machining, welding, electronics, pneumatics, and hydraulics required
  • Dynamic, well-organized and ability to work efficiently in a team environment
  • Must be able to work night shifts, as position is primarily night shifts
  • Some vocational or community college with machining, welding, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics related coursework or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Must have own tools/toolbox
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
