Position Summary:

LAFCU's Help Desk Support Representative is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and security of company networks and computer systems. Their duties include installing antivirus or malware protection software, responding to employee concerns or drafting documents to help employees use computer systems and coordinating with company leadership to determine new technologies that could enhance their company’s computer systems. Help Desk Support Representative typically works for corporations across industries to ensure that employees have secure and efficient computer systems to fulfill their daily job responsibilities. They work closely with IT personnel and company employees to update systems, address security breaches, and help troubleshoot issues. Their job is to plan for problematic situations and create procedures to restore computer systems and their functionality.

Job Summary / Description
  • Assist with managing and maintaining the file servers.
  • Setting up new users and giving them access to the domain.
  • Provide technical support to credit union staff, relying upon experience, research, and communication with external vendors and third parties to resolve any system issues.
  • Operating the Proxy for the organization
  • Immediately notify Information Technology Management of any system or application problems.
  • Plans and conducts equipment installation and relocations of all systems.
  • Implements and monitors appropriate security permissions using credit union IT system environment.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of credit union hardware and software licenses.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of Information System Technology policies and procedures.
  • Works to resolve Tier-1 problems.
  • Monitoring the local area network (LAN) for threats or errors.
  • Maintain good understanding of the credit union’s daily operations, so that all the help desk needs of the departments can be addressed and resolved.
  • Monitor system, application, and third-party patching.
Qualification & Opportunities
  • Requires two years credit union experience in IT Help Desk
  • Good working knowledge of wide variety of software, hardware and PC operating systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows hardware and software required.
  • Strong organizational skills and good oral and written communication skills required.
Salary
  • The minimum and maximum base salary range for this position is $24.75 to $36.17 in California.
  • The target starting base hourly rate is between $24.75 to $30.46.
  • This compensation and benefits information is based on Los Angeles Federal Credit Union's good faith estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future.
  • The starting base salary within the range will depend on a variety of factors that may include relevant prior experience and/or education, or skills and expertise.
