Job Description:

  • Supporting Cybersecurity Model Maturity Certification (CMMC) program
  • Drive organizational readiness for certification
  • Functional program support / project coordination & compliance
  • Some tasks include answering questions from various stakeholders about cybersecurity and compliance, tracking tasks to closure, and providing administrative support.
  • Working with a team that includes various stakeholders from different areas of the company, including business, governance, IT security, legal, and business leadership.
  • Ensuring cybersecurity tasks and processes are completed and producing evidence for auditors.
Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in IT systems or a related discipline strongly preferred (will consider experience in lieu of degree); OR
  • Associates degree will be considered with enough relevant experience.
  • 1-7 years of experience
  • Familiarity with another compliance program (i.e. HIPPA, ISAA)
  • Preferred credentials include the Certified CMMC Professional (CCP), although other cybersecurity credentials like CISSP or CompTIA certifications are also valuable.
  • Familiarity with the DOD rules for CMMC
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Experience with all Microsoft tools
  • Policy writing - nice to have, but good writing skills required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (focusing on clarity for the reader/listener)
  • Requires knowledge in Cybersecurity concepts - both functional (policies/controls) and technical (solutions/implementations)
  • Background in business analysis, project coordination, business/system analysis, GRC, etc.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel and O365 tools is essential, including skills in setting up dashboards, running pivot tables, and using Microsoft Planner.
  • DoD contracting, audit and compliance experience, cybersecurity.

Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
