Job Title: O&M Technician Job Description The O&M Technician performs work in a timely manner with consistent high quality. The majority of work will be as a lone site worker, performing physical tasks such as sweeping, clean up, and handling equipment and supplies. The Technician collects compliance samples for laboratory analysis, adhering to strict sample collection procedures to avoid fines. Responsibilities include keeping equipment clean and in good working order. Technicians must maintain daily field logs, including truck maintenance checklists, safety forms, calibration logs, and field data collection forms. Good organization and penmanship are critical for effective communication. Adherence to all safety program requirements is mandatory. The Technician evaluates site safety requirements, completes necessary forms, and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe working environment. Provided safety gear and equipment must be maintained and inventoried. The Technician will be audited for safety compliance and must report near-misses and unsafe conditions to their supervisor. Weekly O&M Visits: - Inspect equipment (air compressor, water pumps, valves, etc.) to ensure proper operation and determine routine maintenance needs - Measure vapor concentrations with appropriate field instruments - Maintain, calibrate, and clean field equipment - Inspect each injection wellhead, which may require bending and use of hand tools - Record equipment operational parameters (flow rate, run time, vacuum, etc.) on field forms - Adjust extraction wells to maximize operational efficiency - Clean treatment compounds and perform weed control as required Monthly O&M Visits (include all weekly requirements plus the following): - Collect system combined influent vapor samples for laboratory analyses - Collect system effluent vapor samples for laboratory analyses - Perform routine wellhead maintenance as necessary Quarterly O&M Visits (include all weekly/monthly requirements plus the following): - Collect vapor samples from all vapor extraction wells for laboratory analyses - Collect discharge permit compliance samples from groundwater treatment systems for laboratory analysis Hard Skills Sample collection Equipment maintenance Field data collection Vapor concentration measurement Wellhead inspection and maintenance Laboratory analysis Soft Skills Organization Attention to detail Safety compliance Effective communication Good penmanship Self-motivation Job Type This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). Work Site This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Irvine, California and some days remote. Work Environment The Technician works primarily alone on-site, performing physical tasks. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and involves regular inspections and maintenance of equipment. Safety gear and equipment are provided and must be maintained.
