We are seeking a part-time to full-time Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team As a Medical Secretary, you will be responsible for communicating with patient families and home health aides. You will be creating & updating patient and employee files for onboarding. You will also answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate place, mail, or fax documentation, and submit billing to insurance once a month. You will also be scheduling home health aides for in-person applications and helping them with any questions during the process. You will need to create schedules for the team and gather hours worked each week. Monitor continuing education online training to ensure that aides and nurses are competent for their license renewals. The ideal candidate is very organized, has strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and works well independently and within a team.
Responsibilities
- Pull patient medical records or take a new patient history
- Answer the phone and schedule appointments or answer patient/caregiver questions
- Maintain comprehensive medical records, as needed
- Scheduling applicants & onboarding them
- Creating schedules for the team
- Create & Maintain computer files on the OneDrive
- Monitor continuing education online training
- An Associates, Bachelor's, or equivalent diploma preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite and OneDrive. Social Media knowledge is a plus.
- Previous office experience desired

She is an entrepreneur driven to develop, direct and lead her at-home care agency, ACHC accredited as of 2019. Obtaining Accreditation was not a small task for boutique agencies like hers. She persevered and worked diligently with her staff and consultants to ensure her agency was compliant and could compete with large home health care corporations.
