Pay Rate: $20.00/hr.

10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice/Home Care Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, from companionship to assistance with daily living activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to foster a sense of connection and well-being.
  • Help clients with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
  • Encourage and accompany clients to social events, appointments, and recreational activities to promote socialization and community involvement.
  • Provide a listening ear and emotional support, helping clients feel valued and understood.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of clients, recognizing any changes in their physical or emotional condition and reporting them as necessary.
  • Safely transport clients to appointments or outings when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and report any changes in client status to the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage and build rapport with clients.
  • Demonstrated empathy and compassion for the elderly and those in need.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and client needs.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred; caregiver training or certification is a plus.
Working Conditions:
  • May involve working in clients' homes or community settings.
  • Some positions may require physical activities, including lifting or assisting clients.
  • This position requires 3-4 hours a day, 2 times a week.
  • Paid hourly with mileage reimbursement.
