Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Coordinate with patients to confirm or reschedule appointments as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of patient information into the scheduling system
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to optimize scheduling efficiency
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments and scheduling
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their needs and concerns
- Verify insurance and resolve insurance related issues
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a dental or medical office setting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Knowledge of dental or medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using scheduling systems, such as Dentrix
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Salary dependent on experience.
