Position Summary: We are looking for a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. You will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers, answer questions, process incoming patients, and handle payments
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email
  • Schedule appointments for new and existing patients
  • Update and file patient charts
  • Enter data into a computerized billing program
  • Process credit card payments
  • Retrieve prescriptions and assist with pet supply purchases
  • Assist with inventory stock and reordering
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the waiting room
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; education in Veterinary Medicine is a plus
  • Must enjoy working with animals
  • Proficient in using computer programs
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional customer service and outstanding communication skills
Working Conditions:
  • Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
  • Pay - Based on experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting at the computer and phone most of the day
  • Standing to retrieve and file charts
