The Clinical Nurse plays a vital role in fostering a compassionate atmosphere for patients, families, and colleagues through kindness and attentive listening. We value and appreciate the contribution of each employee towards accomplishing our Mission.

Hourly Range: $36.73 - $60.93

The CCU is a specialized 17-bed cardiac critical care unit equipped with advanced invasive monitoring capabilities. Our patient demographic consists of adults (18 and older) facing potential or existing life-threatening cardiac conditions. Credentialed RPNs in this unit offer continuous EKG monitoring for serious dysrhythmias and can enact emergency procedures in the absence of a physician in accordance with AHA-ACLS Guidelines.

Additional responsibilities include managing patients with Impella ventricular assist devices, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Pulmonary Artery Catheters, Tubing Ventilation Protocols (TVPs), and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy.

The ideal candidate will develop proficiency in the following areas:

  • Implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, and performing required treatments and tests.
  • Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic assessments to monitor and evaluate patient conditions.
  • Conducting assessments to determine patient needs and responses to care provided.
  • Utilizing sound nursing judgment for patient care management decisions.
  • Delivering primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administering prescribed and over-the-counter medications as directed.
  • Collaborating with the nursing team to formulate a comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Providing guidance to ancillary personnel and ensuring professional nursing standards are maintained.
