As a SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT, you will:

  • Prepare/post journal entries for inter-company billings, salary reclassifications and update entries for expense allocations. Process and post interfaces of payroll and billing systems and recurring monthly allocations.
  • Review various P&L statements for the branches. Identify/research variances/unusual items and adjust journal entries/allocations to correct differences, when appropriate.
  • Respond to information requests from all offices and line managers. Research questions (i.e. expenses charged to branch/cost center), review results with the appropriate office, follow up on additional questions and make journal entry adjustments, if needed.
  • Conduct account/transaction analyses for Balance Sheet and Statement of Income to ensure proper statement of financial condition. Review input documents/account activity, verify proper coding of accounts and make adjustments, as needed.
  • Develop tools to facilitate month-end close process.
  • Assist Accounting Manager with monthly close responsibilities.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting plus a minimum of three years general accounting experience required. 
  • General knowledge of accounting practices/procedures. 
  • This position must have excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills. 
  • Must also have excellent analytical and computer abilities.
