What will you be responsible/accountable for in this role?
  • Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and customer specifications.
  • Conduct in-process, incoming, first piece, and/or final inspections, ensuring that all products have been tested and fall within standards, measured to specifications and within tolerances.
  • Perform accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per Inspection Plans and Specification Requirements.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment.
  • Document and report inspection findings and results and monitor corrective actions to inspection findings.
  • Document information on the computer in various databases and other internal programs; logs the assembly non-conformities and initiates / generates Non-Conformance Reports as required.
  • File incoming component Device History Records.
  • Read and interpret specifications and part prints.
  • Work with other company personnel to resolve inspection questions.
  • Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
  • Must display very strong attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T is required
  • Proficiency with the use of measuring tools and gauges is required
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and team-oriented work environment
  • Proficient in math and algebra, and in making arithmetical calculations
  • Working knowledge of GMP, FDA and Medical Device Handling Practices
  • High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience with quality inspection and / or precision measurement is preferred, as is prior work experience in an ISO work environment
