Your Role:

As an Operating Room Nurse in our facility, you will demonstrate our values through compassionate and effective patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up instruments and equipment in the operating room, effectively anticipating surgeon needs.
  • Coordinating and managing the operating room during surgical procedures.
  • Facilitating a smooth transition between surgeries, ensuring efficiency and safety.
  • Providing high-quality patient care and assisting with anesthesia as required.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete documentation concerning patient care and surgical procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery environment.
  • Active RN license as required by state law or an appropriate compact license.
  • Current BCLS Certification (online certification not acceptable).
  • ACLS certification as needed by the facility.
  • CNOR certification is preferred.

The Tallahassee Outpatient Surgery Center, located in Tallahassee, Florida, has been serving the Leon County community since 1992. Our facility is accredited by the AAAHC and performs over 400 surgical procedures monthly, focusing on orthopedic, spine, podiatry, and pain management services.
