Position Summary
The Inventory Control Clerk plays a key role in ensuring accurate inventory management and maintaining a seamless supply chain process. Responsibilities include identifying and resolving discrepancies between financial and physical inventories, auditing and submitting journal entry corrections, and participating in periodic inventory counts. This role also involves maintaining accurate documentation to serve as an inventory audit trail and contributing to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and research variances between financial and physical inventory records.
  • Adjust, audit, and submit journal entry corrections.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder status.
  • Participate in and ensure the accuracy of periodic and special inventory counts.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between financial inventories and physical counts.
  • Maintain and update inventory systems, including lead times, ship-and-debit records, and other documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and recommend process improvements for inventory control and overall workflow efficiency.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsSkills and Abilities
  • Basic knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, bend, stoop, squat, twist, and lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Comfort working at heights exceeding 15 feet and using steps, stools, and ladders.
  • Capability to work in personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
  • Forklift and/or Power Industrial Truck (PIT) certification preferred.
Work Experience
  • Typically requires less than one year of related experience.
Education and Certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Job Level Specifications
  • Tasks are routine, repetitive, and manual with minimal complexity.
  • Work is performed under close supervision with detailed instructions and set priorities.
  • Interaction is primarily with immediate team members, with occasional requests from other departments.
  • Impact of decisions is limited to the scope of the assigned tasks.
