This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Heavy Construction Parts Department. The successful candidate will manage the day to day operations relating to customer service as well as managing the Parts Department staff. 

Basic Duties
  • Ensure all Safety policies and procedures are adhered to on a daily basis.
  • Assist with all customer service, sales and marketing related fields.
  • Manage all aspects of customer and service staff order processing and parts handling.
  • Inventory control, core process management and other administrative duties.
  • Ability to perform parts counter functions as needed.
  • Ability to perform backorder analysis as needed.
  • Train new team members as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree or minimum of 5 years previous parts operations experience required.
  • Product knowledge and familiarity with on-highway trucks, diesel engines, electric power generation, and Caterpillar Construction equipment preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter with good time management, planning, and organizational skills with a strong commitment to detail.
  • Ability to train hydraulic hose assemblies as needed.
  • Computer literate, PC experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred.
  • Knowledge of DBSI and SiS Web preferred.
  • Previous forklift and pallet jack experience needed.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, e-mail, and verbal) are necessary.
  • Customer service experience needed.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs, climb ladders and stairs as required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid driver’s license is needed with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position works in both a warehouse environment with some outside exposure and office environment. May, on a continuous basis, walk, bend and lift up to 75 lbs. The wearing of approved safety equipment (i.e. safety glasses with side shields and steel toe footwear) is required. Noise level in the warehouse is usually moderate to high and noise level in the office is low. May sit at a desk to answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email. Occasional overnight travel may be required. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
