Description
Summary:
The position of Maintenance/Courier is responsible for the general maintenance of all regional facilities, including performing light maintenance work and coordinating with all service vendors for contracted work; transporting items between branches; delivery and pick up of internal and external mail; maintaining adequate office supplies; shredding of confidential documents, and performing other office duties as needed.
- Trouble shoots repairs such as plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling system, painting, windows. Performs general maintenance activities including repairs to leaking sinks, changing lights, moving furniture, tightening bolts and hinges, etc.
- Coordinates all activities with service vendors, including placing orders, following up on progress, meeting with vendors onsite, documenting time and resolution of service calls for invoice verification purposes, etc.
- Maintains grounds around building including daily walk-around for litter pick-up, pulling weeds, etc. Also responsible for some snow removal, and salting of walks and lots. Inspects building and grounds for any possible safety hazards and notifies management of issues.
- Supplements outside cleaning service through performance of immediate cleaning needs throughout the day (cleaning spills, refilling of soap, towel dispensers, etc.). In addition, maintains daily cleanliness of break rooms and entry doors/windows.
- Serves as courier between all regional bank locations (Moline, Davenport, Bettendorf, Buffalo, Roscoe, IL and Beloit, WI.) Will regularly travel to other regions to support inner-office mail transport (Galesburg/Muscatine)
- Serve as courier for other requested locations (such as title companies, courthouse, attorney's, storage facility, etc.). Performs a variety of other errands for staff at all locations (Walmart, Dollar Tree, or various other businesses to pick up needed supplies, gift cards, etc. as needed.)
- Delivers and picks up incoming and outgoing mail, including operating and maintaining postage machine, processing certified mail and bulk mailings, etc.
- Assists with maintenance of ATM's during bank hours. Assists tellers with ATM each morning.
- Orders and tracks office supplies, including general office supplies, toners, small office equipment, etc. Assures adequate supply levels at each location.
- Assures adequate supply of toner cartridges and paper near each copier. Fills Main Street copier with paper on a daily basis.
- Collects and shreds confidential documents.
- Keeps all storage, mechanical and electrical rooms clean, neat and secure.
- Ensures bank vehicle is maintained at all times (gas, car washes, oil changes, regular maintenance).
- Coordinates set-up and clean-up for a variety of meetings (department, all-staff, board, etc.), including picking up food and drinks.
- Maintains highest level of confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:
These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. - High school diploma or equivalent, trade school education helpful. Prior experience in maintenance work, delivery, courier, or in the building trade industry is required.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Able to lift and transport heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs.)
- Previous experience in delivery, installation, and servicing of medical equipment preferred
- Basic knowledge of Tools, Electrical Multi Meters, and overall mechanical troubleshooting experience
- General computer and typing skills is needed. Being able to proficiently use software programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic math skills.
- Typing skills to meet the production needs of the position.
- Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees.
- Basic skills with heating and cooling systems.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
