Network Administrator

TEKsystems has a client in the Tallahassee, FL area that needs to add a Network Administrator to their team. The role is slated as a 6 month contract to hire. This person is responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and security of the client’s network infrastructure including the LAN, WAN, multimedia networks and new network technologies as they evolve. This individual is expected to be able to work independently and within established policies and procedures. On a day to day basis the Network Administrator will be responsible for the following: Providing excellent customer service to all in person, in email and over the phone; is approachable, helpful, and personable; and answers questions knowledgeably and with patience Installing network hardware and software and makes needed upgrades and repairs Maintaining network and computer system security and ensures all systems are operating correctly Anticipating communication and networking problems and implements preventative measures Performing maintenance programs according to Clerk and vendor standards Fixing computer and network problems Serving as backup to the System Administrator Maintaining connectivity to all internal and external entities Administrating firewall, endpoint protection and other network security devices.
