Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Full-Time Nights

Reports To: Director of Nursing

Compensation: $34-44/hour + Shift Differentials

Northpoint Recovery Holdings, LLC, established in 2009, is a growing, behavioral healthcare treatment platform treating adults with substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions under the Northpoint Recovery brand and adolescents with mental healthcare conditions under the Imagine by Northpoint brand. The Company serves patients with commercial health insurance and is an in-network model. Northpoint has grown from two facilities to fifteen today entirely on a de novo basis with plans to expand rapidly in both existing and new markets. POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the Northpoint team, the RN will provide and oversee the medical services provided to a caseload of patients. This licensed nursing professional will act as the medical treatment plan coordinator for the multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of the master treatment plan and the discharge plan for each patient. This person will actively communicate with support staff, treatment teams, providers, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues pertaining to patients and their family members. The RN will perform nursing care activities according to established patient care protocols, standards, and procedures, and will complete all documentation associated with these duties in a professional and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
  • Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to multidisciplinary team as necessary
  • Administer medications to patients, and engage in education process
  • Utilize de-escalation skills when exposed to volatile patients to maintain personal safety for the patient and other individuals in our care
  • Provide admission, orientation, education and discharge plans to patients, families and others to aid in the treatment process
  • Consult with the multidisciplinary treatment team in the development of treatment plans and discharge planning to strive for excellent patient care
  • Participate in the maintenance of a clean, orderly and safe environment, and report needs for repairs and maintenance to appropriate staff
  • Admissions and discharges of patients
  • Obtain vital signs, monitor symptoms and document in the patient record
  • Comply with all laws, regulations, and scope of licensure
  • Monitor patients on an ongoing basis to continually assess needs and facilitate medical treatment and interventions
  • Document medical assessment, diagnosis, progress notes, roundings, and other treatment planning items in a timely manner to assure comprehensive and quality patient care
  • Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintain effective working relationships with employees and peers
  • Maintain professional boundaries with patients at all times
  • Oversee and participate in the quality assurance and compliance activities of the facility
  • Provide medical updates to utilization review and representatives of managed care to best coordinate reimbursement of treatment services
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
  • Other clinically appropriate services and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:
  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state where services are rendered
  • Must maintain applicable state licensure requirements throughout duration of employment
  • Current and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Knowledge of computer and electronic medical records systems (KIPU)
  • Enthusiasm, passion for working with people, and an internal drive to improve the lives of individuals in our care
  • We love new grads However, two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse with one (1) year inpatient/residential experience is preferred
  • Ability to work with a diverse population along with interpersonal skills and knowledge required for treating patients assigned
  • Demonstrated ability to hold strong personal boundaries and ability to build rapport with patients
  • Must understand and adhere to the ethical standards of the respective licensure governing board

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS:
  • Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where treatment services are rendered
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Must maintain current nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record

  • Work environment is a residential inpatient treatment facility. Exposure to emotionally impaired patients will be frequent. Stress ranges from low to high depending on the situation
  • Must have the reasonable ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear. Must be reasonably capable of lifting fifteen (15) pounds
  • Indoor treatment setting and office environment
  • Use of a mouse and keyboard
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • Completion of a tuberculin screening during first week of employment
  • Completion of a pre-employment drug screening, post-accident and upon reasonable suspicion of use
  • Completion of new employee orientation and required paperwork prior to reporting to work, including acknowledgment of all Company policies
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Completion of CPR/First Aid Training within first 90 days of employment
  • Attendance at all mandatory staff development and training
  • Completion of background and professional reference checks
  • Completion of a Motor Vehicle Record check
