Registered Nurse MDS Coordinator
We're looking for a Registered Nurse MDS Coordinator to join our team at The Terraces of Boise. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing, completing, and transmitting resident assessments in accordance with current Federal and State standards. You'll need a comprehensive understanding of MDS processes, experience in utilization reviews, and knowledge of Quality Improvement and Care Planning.
Requirements:
- Completion of Accredited Licensed Nursing Program (RN)
- Minimum three years' experience as an RN
- Minimum one-year experience as MDS Coordinator RN preferred
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate completion of the MDS with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT)
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of the MDS per RAI manual
- Transmit completed MDS to CMS and review final validation reports to track errors
- Lead PPS meetings and ensure appropriate skilled coverage for residents
- Provide supervision to LVN MDS Nurse
- Regularly review CMS reports, analyze data, and share with leadership team for quality improvement
- Participate in Medicare and MDS webinars and education to stay current with RAI updates
- Other essential/related duties as required
