Department OverviewThe IPVideo department designs, engineers, and develops IoT based products for the safety and security industry. The team has developed the HALO and SentryERS products and continues to develop additional products to the product portfolio. The department includes Cloud Development and Device Development teams. The Cloud Development team is responsible for all the web and mobile application development to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for our customers.Job Description IPVideo is looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Developer proficient in Android development, with a strong background in kiosk mode management. As a Senior Mobile Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative mobile applications using Android Studio and other front-end frameworks. You will collaborate with a talented team of engineers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs. Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations Development: Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using Android studio, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and reliability. Manage the applications through kiosk mode. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other developers to define requirements, design features, and implement solutions that align with business objectives. Testing & Quality Assurance: Write unit tests and perform thorough testing to ensure the quality and reliability of mobile applications. Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency across the codebase. Optimization: Optimize application performance for various devices and screen sizes, focusing on improving user experience and responsiveness. Identify and address bottlenecks and performance issues. Troubleshooting & Debugging: Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by users or discovered during testing. Utilize debugging tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile framework, and related fields. Proactively suggest improvements to development processes, tools, and methodologies Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions. Collaborate with the team to resolve conflicts and make decisions that drive project success. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. 5+ years of experience in mobile application development for Android, with a strong portfolio highlighting your work. Experience to configure, manage and update the apps through Android Kiosk Mode is required. Experience to develop two-way voice and video communication in Android applications is required. Experience with RESTful APIs, web services integration, and asynchronous programming. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git for code management and collaboration.
