USPI's Hershey Outpatient Surgery Center is looking for a qualified LPN candidate to join our healthcare team in Perianesthesia We are looking for sound nursing judgment, knowledge, and experience. The successful candidate will able to provide care following the PA State Board Regulations, and USPI’s policies and guidelines. The LPN will care for patients in the Preoperative and Phase II areas of care, consisting of planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities:
The LPN functions as a member of Hershey Outpatient Surgery Center’s team by providing nursing care to the patient. The LPN is an advocate for the patient and the patient’s family and promotes safety by practicing in accordance with Board of Nursing Rules and Regulations. The LPN scope of practice does not include acts of medical diagnosis or the prescription of therapeutic or corrective measures. The practice of and LPN must be performed under the supervision of a RN, advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), physician, physician assistant, or podiatrist. Supervision is defined as the process of directing, guiding, and influencing the outcome of an individual’s performance of an activity. LPNs are taught to differentiate normal from abnormal and to identify changes in patient conditions to be reported to RN or Physician for further “comprehensive assessment”.
This candidate will practice under the PA State LPN Practice Guidelines, and the State Practice Act. They will participate in providing a caring, healing environment for patients and their families, and be a strong team member, contributing to a healthy and supportive workplace. Expectations include adhering to patient care initiatives and a commitment to best practices that serve to improve patient safety and quality.
The LPN should demonstrates the ability to work as a team member and to communicate directly and professionally. Is flexible, reliable, productive, patient-oriented, and self-motivated. Portrays the facility in a positive light to others. Avoids being involved in gossip spreading or conversations that promote discord of staff members. Maintains professional conduct and appearance.
USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.

Required Skills
