Cimarron is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer with expertise in HVAC systems to join our team in Chantilly, VA. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of HVAC systems for a variety of projects. Key Duties: Design and evaluate HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Conduct research and analysis to determine appropriate equipment and materials for HVAC projects. Develop detailed engineering plans and specifications for HVAC systems, including layout and sizing calculations. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate HVAC systems into building designs. Review and analyze project proposals, providing technical expertise and recommendations. Perform field surveys and inspections to assess existing HVAC systems and identify opportunities for improvement. Assist in the selection and procurement of HVAC equipment, ensuring compatibility and effectiveness. Conduct performance tests and simulations to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of HVAC systems. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies in HVAC system performance. Stay updated with advancements in HVAC technology and industry best practices to enhance design and implementation processes. Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time. Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance. 5 or more years of experience in HVAC system design and engineering. Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, systems, and components. Proficiency in HVAC design software and tools, such as AutoCAD and Revit. Knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and standards, includingNFPA. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Desired Skills, Experience, and Education: 15 or more years of related experience.
