Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain Linux and Windows systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Develop and implement network architecture to support robust and secure communications.
  • Establish and enforce cybersecurity governance and policies to protect organizational assets.
  • Implement and manage cybersecurity measures for systems and networks, including firewalls, access control, and encryption.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses of hardware and software to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cybersecurity is integrated into all aspects of system design and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, network diagrams, and cybersecurity policies.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages and Authorization to Operate (ATO).
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in IT and cybersecurity roles.
  • Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Proficiency in system administration of Linux and Windows environments.
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture and cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience implementing cybersecurity measures and managing security systems.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity governance and policy development.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline (e.g., cybersecurity, information technology, computer science).
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IAM, SIEM).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Understanding of defense systems and related cybersecurity requirements.
  • Must meet 8570 certifications IAT level II requirements or ability to obtain one within 6 months.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with automation and scripting for system administration and cybersecurity tasks.
  • Experience with cloud systems architecture and management (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Please Note: U.S. Citizenship is required for most MTSI positions.
