Job Summary:

We are seeking a Field Canvasser to engage with members of the community, build relationships, and solicit support for our organization. As a Field Canvasser, you will be responsible for conducting door-to-door canvassing, attending community events, and building connections with local businesses and individuals.

Responsibilities:

Conduct door-to-door canvassing in assigned neighborhoods or territories to engage with community members and build relationships

Attend community events, such as farmers' markets, festivals, and street fairs, to promote our organization and gather support

Build connections with local businesses and organizations to establish partnerships and gather support

Identify and recruit new supporters and volunteers for our organization

Provide excellent customer service to all individuals interacted with during canvassing and outreach efforts

Meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly goals for new supporter acquisition and donations

Keep accurate records of interactions, including notes, contact information, and outcomes

Requirements:

Must be able to travel within the Connecticut area for canvassing and outreach efforts.

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or relevant experience preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions

Comfortable with door-to-door canvassing and engaging with diverse groups of people

Basic computer skills, including the ability to use email and online databases
