The Engagement Manager supports a shared project for both Sony Pictures Animation and Sony Pictures Imageworks Leadership, Filmmakers and Production in building and maintaining the culture, communication, morale, and engagement. This role will be dedicated to a specific film and work with Recruiters and Artist Management to create and maintain a crew onboarding program reflective of the team they are joining.

Sony Pictures Animation is a pre-production animation studio based in Culver City, California, creating both feature animation and animated series with artists from around the world. We pride ourselves on empowering filmmakers to lead the creative process, and allowing the hand of the artist to be truly felt, with the goal of producing bold and innovative visual storytelling.
Responsibilities:

  • Work with SPA/SPI Leadership and Production teams throughout the show to gain an understanding of what creates and encourages great morale/engagement
  • Recognize and celebrate milestone achievements, promoting a culture of crew appreciation
  • Strengthen cross SPA/SPI departmental relationships with the overall goal of supporting them as show needs develop
  • Collect and analyze feedback after major milestones to measure crew engagement
  • Create milestone led events calendar/plan which may consist of but is not limited to: Social events within teams, departments and across the show with a focus on expressing crew appreciation
  • Prepare materials for onboarding crew for what to expect from the project (ie. onboarding video)
  • Direct employees to resources from the studio
Qualifications:
  • 7 years of experience working in Community and/or Studio Engagement
  • Experience working within a studio environment
  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Self-starter's attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to plan and execute projects with many moving parts.
  • Ability to travel as needed

The anticipated base salary for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. This role may also qualify for incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
