The work schedule is 12 hour shifts, 7 on 7 off, and our full time is 14.3 shift per month. We take care of all medical patients and are involved with most surgical patients either as admitting or consulting physician. Our Hospitalists manage all the intensive care unit and ventilator patients in our 4-bed intensive care unit. No procedures are required but those who have procedural skills can continue to do them. This is a great opportunity to join a successful hospital medicine group focused on providing high quality care to our patients in a collegial and collaborative environment.

Fort HealthCare-Fort Memorial Hospital is a community-owned, independent hospital located 30 miles east of Madison, 60-miles west of Milwaukee and 1.5 hours north of Chicago. Fort Memorial Hospital is a modern, fully accredited, acute care facility with 49 licensed beds. Fort Medical Group, a subsidiary of Fort HealthCare, currently employs more than 50 physicians, advanced practitioners, and other healthcare providers. Fort Medical Group clinics offering primary and surgical specialty care are in Fort Atkinson, Cambridge, Johnson Creek, Jefferson, Lake Mills and Whitewater. Other services offered by Fort HealthCare include occupational medicine, rehabilitation and sports medicine, wound care, urgent care, and pain management. Fort HealthCare is a partner with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Cancer Center in the nearby community of Johnson Creek, WI.
