This position calls for an experienced, knowledgeable and talented engineer to design and develop AI/ML components for the Controls Engineering organization. As an AI/ML design engineer, you will have an opportunity to lead and collaborate with other engineers to design, plan, develop, and maintain AI/ML software components.

 

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

 

Responsible for the successful AI/ML software products and components throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Responsible for project deliverables on time and with high quality.

Assure proper technical requirement definition with internal and external customers, marketing, manufacturing and other support groups.

Actively participate in the definition and implementation of new processes and improvements around AI usage at Lennox.

Identify and create new technologies and ideas to increase the organization’s intellectual property and to better address customer needs.

Participate in technical feasibility analysis and prototyping activities.

Qualifications:

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

Education

Masters/Ph.D in Probability/Statistics/Computer science with specialization in AI/ML is required

Technical Skills

Ability to collaborate, design, develop, and optimize AI/ML solutions for production.

Knowledge of modern ML techniques: supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement, deep, and others.

Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).

Knowledge of the various LLM models and LLM application frameworks.

Knowledge of agent frameworks, vector databases.

Stay current with the latest advancements in deep learning and AI research.

Analyze, improve the performance, and efficiency of existing models.

Experience collaborating in multi-site cross functional development teams.

Ability to develop unit test, system test, and evaluate the AI/ML components.

Experience in MLOPs processes.

Familiarity in technical leadership, project planning, and project tracking.

Familiar with Configuration Management tools (Version control, bug tracking, change management, automated builds, and coding standards).

Teaming/Soft Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.

Ability to collaborate across multiple functional teams (Hardware, Advanced Technology, Testing, Technical Support, Manufacturing, IT) to deliver sound technical solutions to our customers.

Demonstrate ability to drive product and process improvements throughout the software organization.

Ability to work with third parties and off-shore development teams as needed.

Self driven, results oriented.
