Job Description

The successful candidate will be accountable for the daily management and direction Paragon's planning and direction for equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods and work force utilization. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and training Manufacturing Engineers in the MTE skills and processes. Additionally, the be responsible for providing supply chain resources supporting manufacturing and coordinating with internal resources and external vendors. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in both technical and manufacturing leadership roles. The candidate must be capable of working beyond the typical 8-hour workday and 40-hour work week. This position requires direct support of manufacturing activities and spending nearly 100% of daily time in the factory areas.

This function is responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Employee coaching, mentoring, training
  • Safety program
  • Employee performance development
  • Employee hiring Interfacing with Internal Customers
  • Lead Root Cause and Corrective action Teams
  • Personnel Performance input for all related functions

U.S. Citizenship status is required for this position.

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of progressively increasing leadership responsibility in a Manufacturing environment
  • Experience with software based MRP systems
  • Engineering Management experience and developing Engineering talent
  • Experience with process development
  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card is required

Desired Attributes:

  • Aerospace or Manufacturing Design Experience 3+ years in a Management role
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) eg. ISO9000, AS9100
  • Lean Manufacturing experience Superior Communication Skills
  • Computer Aided Manufacturing experience
  • Experience in Solidworks, ProE and/or Autocad
  • CNC Programming experience
  • E2 Shop System or similar MRP system knowledge

Required Education: BS in Engineering/Manufacturing/Engineering Technology or related degree
