Supervisor-Dispatch (PT)

Job Summary: The Supervisor-Dispatch administers leadership to a particular shift by knowing and setting an example in both departmental policies and work. Maintains a working knowledge of the courier, dispatcher job, and physical plant outlying contacts. These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Performs other duties as needed.

Education and Experience: High school Diploma or GED required. Minimum one year experience in hospital dispatch or patient transport environment.

Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of Teletracking System required. Ability to speak clearly to gather/dispense information. Good eye/hand/foot coordination, dexterity and manipulative accuracy. Able to communicate in English, relate positively and effectively with others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; accept direction. Should be personable. Able to communicate effectively in English, in person, in writing, and on the telephone; work well when under pressure and able to handle multiple projects, make judgments, plan and expedite, reason and problem solving capacity; pay close attention to detail; work independently without supervision.

Licensures and Certifications: Valid Driver's License required at time of hire. Basic Life Support Certification required.
