General Description of the Job
The Maintenance Technician 4 is responsible for the maintenance and repair of facilities and production equipment. The Level 4 Technician will utilize their broad knowledge and experience in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc., to perform their assigned tasks.
Key Interactions and Relationships
Routine interactions include coworkers and department supervisors.
Qualifications
Training and Experience
- Minimum 10-years’ experience in facilities, and manufacturing equipment maintenance.
- Working knowledge of facility maintenance, (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, etc.)
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing equipment maintenance, and repair, (electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC’s, etc.)
- Strong background in electrical experience preferred.
- Strong familiarity with OSHA Safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Able to manage complex issues in a fast-paced work environment, and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- Able to read, and interpret equipment manuals and procedures, schematics, and maintenance instructions.
- Able to perform basic math functions as required in the scope of the assigned task.
- 2-year technical degree related to Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent, or relevant years of experience.
- Certified or licensed in relevant field, desirable.
- Certified forklift, scissor-lift, etc., desirable.
Primary Routine Work –
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures while complying with legal regulations.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make necessary repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Assist in the overall maintenance of the facility.
- Assist, train, and mentor less experienced technicians.
- Oversee department consumables ensure the uninterrupted supply of necessary items.
- Cost - Equipment unplanned downtime.
- Productivity – Average time to complete Work Orders
- Assist other departments as needed.
