Pay range: $32.00 - $42.00 per hourVariable Shift Hours:
- Weekdays between 6:45am-3:45pm and 12:00pm-9:00pm (variable)
- Weekends from 7:30am-4:10pm (variable)
What You Will Bring: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
- Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Performs CT procedures, obtains patient history, prepares patient for the exams, performs venipuncture for the administration of IV contrast, provides patient education regarding the exam, ensures patient cooperation and safety during the study, monitors patient for adverse reaction to IV contrast
- Coordinates patient flow.
- Makes certain that appropriate indications are present for the CT procedures ordered, and that contraindications to contrast are explored.
- Follows policies concerning quality assurance.
- Satisfactorily meets work performance expectations as stated in the policy personnel, technologist evaluation.
- Assists office staff with scheduling patients and preparing and maintaining patient records.
- Maintains the appropriate amount of continuing medical education units set forth by the ARRT.
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Keeps CT suite clean, stocked and prepared for all procedures.
- Completes paperwork and billing functions.
- Requests and order supplies as needed.
- Will float to other locations as needed.
- At least three years of experience as CT Technologist in clinic environment. Must have experience in acute care setting.
- Required certifications in ARRT (CT), CRT, and Venipuncture.
- Must have a valid California Driver's License.
- Must be CPR certified.
- Basic understanding of insurance, both Commercial and Managed Care.
- Familiarity with ACR guidelines.
- Familiarity with PACS systems - DR Systems preferred.

- Environment: Work is performed primarily in the CT area with extensive contact with individuals and frequent interruptions.
- Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an imaging center setting; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight. This position requires the incumbent to experience periods of prolonged standing, walking, carrying, climbing, reaching and lifting (10 pounds for 80% of work-shift time; 25 pounds for 50% of work-shift time; 50 pounds with assistance for less than 5% of work-shift time). Regularly required to stand for long periods of time; will sit 15-20% of their work-shift time; will stand for 85% of their work-shift time; will walk for approximately 80-85% of the work-shift time; must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel approximately 90-100% of work-shift time; must be able to reach with hands and arms approximately 85-95% of work-shift time; must be able to talk or hear and verbally communicate to exchange information approximately 90-100% of work-shift time. Must be able to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, type, operate a calculator, telephone, copier and such other office equipment as necessary. Will travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation, as needed.
- Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens. Must have ability to ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. The lights in the office include fluorescent lighting.
- Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without corrections.
California Medical Business Services (CMBS) is a healthcare organization that must comply with the August 5, 2021, California Department of Public health order, which mandates that all healthcare workers are vaccinated for COVID-19.
