Position: Bilingual Building Secretary (Spanish/English) Posting # 3631

Hours: 40 hours per week
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
School-Year/Full-Time

Experience:
  • Experience and proficiency in the use of Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.)
  • Must be highly organized and have excellent communication and clerical skills.
  • Must be bilingual & biliterate: Spanish/English
  • Experience in providing friendly and accurate verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
  • Experience working with elementary students is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of secretarial and clerical duties to assist the Principal
  • Operate the absence management (substitute) system
  • Provide friendly and accurate public relations (within the school community and beyond)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Principal
Other Information:
  • Starts 3 weeks before the start of the school year and ends 2 weeks after the school year ends.
  • For the initial year, extended hours will be available summer 2025
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
  • Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work; those activities where detailed or import spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
    • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
    • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
    • The worker is subject to environmental conditions.
    • The worker should provide consistent and reliable attendance.
