Job Summary: 

A WOB Field Brand Ambassador is a designated local marketing representative that creates opportunities to drive sales. They are the face of WOB in the local community.  They are an employee who builds relationships within the community to make sure everyone knows that WOB has the best party in town This person is organized, creative, results focused, and passionate about our WOB Brand.

Estimated 5-10 hours per week based on location needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

Primary focus should be managing social media accounts, running successful events and local marketing, the acceptable attainment of building sales and meeting or exceeding all forecasted financial goals for a time period, the development of and communication to World of Beer hourly staff, the ongoing established World of Beer quality of operations and exceptional event execution.

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of previous hospitality/food service industry experience that resulted in consistent, positive sales is preferred.
  • Outgoing, Friendly, Easily Approachable: This person should naturally be the host of any party and the one to introduce themselves first in social situations.  They should be the starter of conversations and find themselves creating social experiences with ease.
  • Embody WOB: This person should have a passion for World of Beer, what it offers, and what it stands for… they should know beer, have regulars, and love discovery and exploration of new things.
  • Results Focused: Creating contacts and partnerships to help build sales should be this person’s number one focus. Relationships are important to WOB and this person should focus on the ones that bring the most impact to sales.
  • Ability to perform all other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Duties/Requirements for Brand Ambassador Employees

Responsibilities within the 4 walls

  • Meets with the GM and Local Marketing Manager regularly to go over schedule, upcoming event calendar, and plan for local outreach to drive sales.
  • Responsible for getting updated marketing materials to the location when applicable.
  • Manages the location’s social media handles.
  • Ensures that the WOB events are always in compliance with prevailing federal and local laws and WOB programs (Labor, Safety, Non-harassment, Security, Food safety, Alcohol Awareness, etc.).
  • Follows safety practices/controls. 

 Responsibility within 4 Miles

  • Consistently works outside of the location to connect with local businesses, hotels, apartments to drive tavern awareness and trial, book events/parties. 
  • Attends and manages local partnerships or sponsorships within the trade area.
  • Presents local events or festivals to participate in outside of the location (Ex: “Taste of XYZ City”)
  • Uses marketing materials to promote upcoming events or in-store promotions.
  • Finds cross promotional or partnership opportunities in the local area.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, a WOB Field Brand Ambassador Employee is regularly required to talk, hear and see. This position includes the ability to stand for periods of time up to 10 hours in a shift and have the ability to be able to taste, smell, stoop, bend, stretch, kneel reach, carry, push and lift up to 50 pounds without restriction. Ability to verbally communicate with all employees, customers and phone callers in English.

Reporting Relationship: General Manager with dotted line to Field Marketing Manager and Regional Manager.
