Position Summary: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods. This role ensures the efficient flow of products and materials, maintains accurate inventory records, and ensures compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, and packing goods.
  • Oversee the scheduling and management of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records by implementing and monitoring inventory control systems.
  • Manage the loading and unloading of shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods to customers or production facilities.
  • Develop and implement warehouse processes and procedures to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and create a safe working environment.
  • Monitor the maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors, to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Plan and oversee warehouse layout and design to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, transportation, and customer service, to coordinate supply chain operations.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor performance metrics to meet organizational goals.
  • Implement strategies for improving service quality and addressing operational challenges.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar logistics role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in warehouse management software (WMS) and inventory management systems.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
