Job Description Summary and Objectives:
In search of an Insurance Clerk who is motivated, a fast learner, and ready to commence a rewarding administrative career. A qualified candidate must have prior work experience and an education in business administration or related field.
As an insurance clerk, you will deal with general liability insurance applications, reinstatements, modifications, filing claims, and cancellations. You will work alongside insurance agents and communicate with the policyholders to keep the insurance information updated and accurate.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keeping the records timely and current with the policyholder and insurance company.
- Obtain insurance quotes from different insurance agents and companies.
- Help in determining the validity of coverage and the extent of insurance benefits.
- Present different quotes for insurance policies and obtain timely approval.
- File applications with the insurance agent by providing the required information.
- Record invoice and request payment.
- File claims, collect and send all required information to insurance companies until claim is completed.
- Correctly transfer information to database and worksheets.
- Maintain a control of all insurance policies to ensure continuous coverage.
- Education in business administration field with minimum 1-2 years of work experience.
- Math and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel Functions.
- Proficiency with computer applications to input and organize data.
- Detail oriented with organizational and analytical skills.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Strong sense of responsibility in completing projects in a timely and accurate manner.
- Team player and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluent (speak, read, write).
Work Environment:
No or very limited physical effort required. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Full-time position.
