Position Highlights: Schedule : 17 shifts per month at Torrance Memorial Medical Center Split days and nights, 60% of schedule will be night shifts (D & some C shifts) Day shifts (8a-6p),C shifts (5p-1a),D shifts (10p-7a) Conduct hospital rounds on all patients referred to the service Night shifts: Admitting; Physician to stay at hospital over night Provide patient care in a manner consistent with hospital medical staff by-laws and referring physician requests Communicates with families, referring physicians, specialists, administration and hospital departments in the care and treatment of patients referred to the service Work with hospitals and clinical staff, social services, utilization management and other members of the interdisciplinary teams Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to discuss patients progress, variances and achievement of expected outcomes and plan of care Assumes responsibility to ensure that all necessary documentation is accurate, complete, and timely including medical records, billing/coding and any other such documentation as requested by hospital from time to time What makes an Optum organization different? _Be part of a best-in-class employee experience that enables you to practice at the top of your license _ _We believe that better care for clinicians equates to better care for patients _ _We are influencing change collectively on a national scale while still maintaining the culture and community of our local care organizations _ Practice medicine autonomously, with the support, not restrictions, of a sustainable and thriving national health care organization Compensation & Benefits Highlights: Robust Benefits Package and Bonuses Leadership Pathways and Partnership CME Reimbursement and Related Time Off 401K Matching after 1 year Paid License Renewals Malpractice Coverage Volunteer Opportunities Employee Wellness Program Required Qualifications: Unrestricted California State Medical License Current California DEA certificate BE/BC Internal Medicine EMR Proficient Preferred Qualifications: Self-starter with ability to practice with a high degree of independence Strong verbal and written communication skills California Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $288,631 to $385,254 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
