Position Title: School Registered Nurse (RN) and Receptionist

Location: Roslyn, NY

Hourly Rate: $40/hr

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and versatile School Registered Nurse (RN) who will also serve as a receptionist. This unique role requires a compassionate and organized individual who can manage both clinical responsibilities and front-desk duties with equal proficiency. Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:
  • Provide direct care to students, including health assessments, first aid, and emergency care.
  • Manage student health records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions.
  • Conduct health screenings and promote wellness programs within the school.
  • Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and healthcare providers.
Reception Duties:
  • Greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Manage phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries.
  • Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence.
  • Assist with the coordination of school events and activities.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) and office management software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Flexible availability between 7am and 6pm.
